David McCooey is the Deputy General Editor (& Section Editor, Poetry and Non-Fiction, 1950-2000) of the prize-winning anthology, the Macquarie PEN Anthology of Australian Literature, published by Allen & Unwin in 2009. The anthology was also was published internationally in 2009 as The Literature of Australia by Norton, the premier international publisher of literary anthologies.
